Lift Piston
I need help with my physics homework.?
The question is…
I have a hydraulic lift. Piston 1 has an area of 24.6cm^3. I apply a force of 196 N to piston 1, and piston 2 lifts an object weighing 13,575 N. What is the minimum surface area of piston 2?
Pressure = F/A is constant, so:
A2 = A1 * F2/F1
They give you A1, F1, and F2. Plugnchug.
